Animal House Rescue, Inc. (AHR) was founded in April 2002 by Jody and Nancy. The friends met in 2000 when they were both volunteers at the Fulton County Ohio Humane Society. When the Humane Society decided it would no longer be accepting animals, Jody and Nancy decided to start their own rescue organization.

AHR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-run rescue organization. We rescue dogs and cats from Northwest Ohio area shelters and pounds or from owners who can no longer care for their pets. We have the animal thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, have them spayed or neutered, bring them up-to-date on their vaccinations, test and treat for parasites, and place them in forever homes. We do not have a shelter but operate strictly out of our foster homes.

Fees:

Adoption fees average around $200 a dog, $50 for a cat, and include all of the vet work mentioned above. Fees will vary depending on the level of healthcare an animal needs during fostering.
